VA TECH ELIN EBG wins major contract for Hilton Vienna

Hotel Hilton in Vienna is being renovated and modernised by Stadtpark Hotelreal AG at a total cost of EUR 56 million. VA TECH ELIN EBG is supplying the entire technical building equipment (electrotechnical, HVAC and sanitary systems), a contract with a value of approximately EUR 13.5 million. Construction, interior completion, building fittings and furnishings and other aspects of the project are being coordinated by VA TECH ELIN EBG. The grand opening is planned for April 2004.
The hotel, which was closed at the end of 2002 and which is being renovated according to the plans of Viennese architect Hans Hollein, will be reopened in its new glamour in the spring of 2004. It will not only provide Vienna with an additional 570 luxury rooms, but will also make available additional conference facilities. In addition to the 880 m2 conference hall for 1,000 persons and a 444 m2 seminar room, ten additional meeting rooms ranging in size from 60 to 180 m2 will also be available. This new event centre will offer space for 2,000 persons in all.
